Energy consumption - Building site
In our environmental product declarations the energy consumption for installing the product in the building is calculated, and will be a part of the Total Life Cycle Cost of the building.
Energy efficiency - building operation
When using Cembrit Facade products, the wall structure must be ventilated through an opening at the bottom of the facade, to ensure that unobstructed ventilation is possible throughout the facade.
With a ventilated facade, fluctuations of temperature in the outer wall are minimized. The heating effect of direct sunlight is reduced by the air-gap of the ventilation space while the natural flow of air facilitated by the ventilation space behind the facade products prevents the risk of condensation. These properties contribute to less energy consumption and environmental impacts in combination with reduced costs for energy use.
